Donate to Amputees and help them to live a healthy active lifestyle.

My blog is dedicated to inspire, inform and enable individuals with loss of limb or mobility, to live a healthy, active lifestyle and also to provide some financial assistance to amputees across the world that requires assistance to cover the costs of equipment where all other Government assistance has been exhausted. We all know that the cost of equipment can be very expensive and we believe that no amputee should be left without the equipment they require to live as independently as possible. Such equipment may be Wheel chairs, hand rails, Prosthetics, etc that are needed in and around the home and are vital to the safety of amputees especially after leaving hospital. Your contributions will go toward the victims that have suffered loss of limb or mobility. If you want to be the one helping hand for the amputees and want to Donate Please send an Email at jas.singh474@gmail.com, and be sure to include a return address.

"We thank you for your kind support and ask that you keep these individuals in your thoughts and prayers".

About us

This blog is the brainchild of my own, who lost his Right Leg Above-knee due to negligence and carelessness in treatment. Ultimately, this harsh experience was the driving force to create a blog in order to help people with physical disabilities. My blog intends to encourage people with disabilities, tries to lift their optimism and hopes to help to overcome bias in order to reduce prejudices against all physically disabled worldwide. Inevitably, we cannot change all these long-standing stereotypes, intolerances and inequality issues in many countries simply over night. However, we strongly believe that every little success helps to lift the optimism of those who are concerned and conveys the important message that no-one on this planet should be coerced into a feeling of inferiority simply because of a physical disability. Our aim is to demonstrate that, firstly, “Disability” is by no means contradictory terms. Secondly, disabled people are as happy and have the same quality and standard of life as their able-bodied contemporaries. And last but not least: there is no point in worrying about finding the right guy, girl, partner or soul mate, and also no reason to hide from the world because of a physical disability.

Our aims and objectives:

  • Improve quality of life for all amputees.
  • Encourage amputees to develop a positive approach to living with amputation through motivational and inspirational stories.
  • Educate amputees with information on Latest Advanced Technology Artificial limbs or Prosthetics and all aspects of amputation.
  • Raise awareness about issues as diverse as the experiences and abilities of amputees.

Aimee Mullins - Double Amputee a Model, Athlete, Inspiration

 Hi,
My friends, today’s story is of Double Amputee a Model, Athlete, Inspiration Aimee Mullins.  Aimee Mullins has amazing athletic accomplishments, a successful modeling career, and has earned accolades as a motivational speaker. She was born with a medical condition that resulted in the amputation of both of her lower legs and has become one of the most prominent thinkers on the topic of prosthetic innovation.

Let me tell you more about her

Aimee Mullins is an American athlete, actress, and fashion model. Mullins was born with fibular hemimelia and, she was told she would never walk, and would likely spend the rest of her life using a wheelchair. In an attempt for an outside chance at independent mobility, doctors amputated both her legs below the knee on her first birthday. She was told by doctors that, she might never learn to walk but she proved that she can walk. With the help of prosthetic legs, she learned to walk and even learned to run fast. In her childhood, she spent her time in athletic activities like swimming, biking, softball and skiing always alongside normal kids.

After graduating high school with honors, Aimee was one of three students in the US chosen for a full academic scholarship from the Department of Defense, and at age 17 became the youngest person to hold a top-secret security clearance at the Pentagon. She worked there as an intelligence analyst during her summer breaks.

Mullins become the first amputee to compete on NCAA track team and was a star athlete at Georgetown. She went on to compete in 1996 Paralympics in Atlanta, setting three world records in the 100m, 200m and long jump. In 1999, Mullins was invited to model on the runway for designer Alexander McQueen on hand-carved wooden legs complete with six-inch heels. Mullins became the face of a L'Oreal campaign for True Match and was named as one People's 50 Most Beautiful People.

Mullins strives to be one of those people for others, traveling around the country giving inspirational speeches, encouraging everyone to harness perceived shortcomings as a springboard for achieving lofty dreams. She says, "Confidence is the sexiest thing a woman can have. It's much sexier than any body part.”
